Sedcom adds support to BTCC star Thompson
Second year Kwik Fit MSA British Touring Car Championship star Bobby Thompson has added Sedcom to his growing list of sponsors for the 2019 season.
Sedcom is an IT support and solutions company supporting small to medium sized businesses in and around London and the South East and their partnership with 22 year-old BTCC fan favourite Thompson and his #19 Team HARD outfit marks their first appearance in Britain’s premier domestic race series.
“I’m pleased to have the opportunity to promote the Sedcom brand to the BTCC audience for the first time,” says Thompson, who has already recorded one top six finish during the first nine races of the 30-race 2019 campaign. “The incredible reach of the BTCC means that I can give huge exposure to Sedcom through my racing and I’m extremely grateful that Dean and his team have chosen me to provide them with this new opportunity.”
In addition to a career best sixth place finish in the opening race of the 2019 season at Brands Hatch, the popular Hornchurch based driver earned a brace of top ten finishes during his rookie season in 2018.
“Every season I have been extremely lucky to have been supported by a group of enthusiastic and diverse sponsors, many of whom have been with me since I first moved into car racing,” added the 2017 VW Cup Series Champion, who is also one of the BRDC’s Rising Stars in 2019. “I will be working as hard as I can both on and off the track to make this deal work well for Sedcom and I hope that this will be the first step in a long lasting relationship.”
“Sedcom create a seamless support service tailored to meet all business needs,” commented Sedcom’s Dean Rolfe. “This in turn, allows our clients to concentrate on their business whilst we take care of their IT infrastructure at a very affordable and competitive price.
“Focusing on the importance of having an early understanding of our clients’ business needs, we can ensure that long term, efficiencies are not compromised and look at ways to reduce our clients’ IT systems and networks becoming over-complex and very expensive to operate and manage. Sedcom’s overriding aim is to develop a strong trust with our clients in doing what we do best.”
Thompson will next be displaying Sedcom’s colours at the Croft Circuit for rounds 10, 11 and 12 of the season on June 16th.
